The link just needs to be HTTPS, new browser security model blocks the HTTP link. I’ve updated the link.

This solved the issue for me on Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. Other results I found were missing the part where you copy the file to /boot.

Hi Eric,

Yes, Avaya/Nortel calls it a brouter port… you can apply the IP address to the port level.

Cheers!

I was just reading your post “untagAll vs tagAll on Avaya Ethernet Routing Switches”. I’ve been searching for an answer about an AVAYA 4826GTS-PWR+. Do you happen to know if there is any way to configure a port with an IP address? So no VLAN or Trunk port.

Thank you

I think we all have similar gremlins and/or challenges.. we’ve deployed dnsmasq on our 1000+ Linux VMs to help take the load off our DNS infrastructure and it works pretty well.

Thanks for the comment!

Hi Tim, hope you’ve been doing well!

That’s in Microsoft Exchange I believe, or you believe it’s in all Microsoft products?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/deprecation-of-basic-authentication-exchange-online#:~:text=In%20September%202021%2C%20we%20announced,it%20is%20not%20being%20used.

It’s definitely a good idea to make sure your using either POP3S, IMAPS with SMTPS to secure your username and password.

Cheers!

The windows servers are configured to be only autoritative (recurse in disabled).
Non AD zones are handled by Unix autoritative server. I do not do recursive and autoritative work on the same machine any more to avoid almost all DNS issues and ease debug in case…

They don’t cache! So when we have thousands of machines keeping tabs on a cloud service, that now equates to thousands of DNS calls leaving our network every minutes rather than just one or two. It’s hammering our firewalls and it’s gross.

I ultimately picked LastPass and it was free as you indicated on the mobile to use. They did successfully squeeze me here in 2021 because after using LastPass for a number of years for free I realized that I truly do need to have this on my mobile as well. I ended up going for the LastPass family plan but yes feels like a nudge here for sure. I am happy with LastPass and since I have used it for so long don’t mind paying.

I have used Teamviewer for quite some time in the past and was always somewhat annoyed when the installation decided to “detect” Business use.
So i went on and settled on Anydesk(.com). It has a free Version too(which can be used even in businesses!) and works like a charm. Even the Android and IOS Versions are free.

Unfortunately I stopped visiting regularly a few years back as someone else took over the Nortel equipment and the discussions became less relevant to me.

But I have returned a few times this year following Google links, for things like replacing a switch in a stack, and fan replacements, as the switches have been a little more problematic this year.

If anyone finds a Google link for a topic, and still wants to find the content, try searching the link in the Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/

Thanks again, Tony

And I agree on supporting the company if I like it and make it part of my regular toolkit. I can’t expect them to keep it current and secure if they don’t get paid anything from the user community.
