Unless you’ve been hiding in a hole the last few months you’ve probably already heard about the controversy around SOPA/PIPA (Stop Online Piracy Act/ Protect IP Act). I had planned on writing something technical this morning but after reading Jane Well’s post over on WordPress.org I thought it was way past time for me to encourage all my US viewers to contact their legislative representatives and voice your displeasure with the proposed legislation.
If you are in Information Technology I’m sure you heard about the call to boycott GoDaddy. I have to admit that I use GoDaddy for all my domains and while I haven’t yet transferred them it was very interesting to see their about face when a mass boycott appeared to be gaining steam. Has anywhere reading this transferred their domains from GoDaddy? If so what registar did you use?
I’ll close this post by copying the last two lines from Jane’s post because they are spot on…
Go to Stop American Censorship for more information and a bunch of ways you can take action quickly, easily, and painlessly. The Senate votes in two weeks, and we need to help at least 41 more senators see reason before then. Please. Make your voice heard.
Cheers!
