I would tend to believe low level functions of the cards are being impacted, not high level protocols. There are quite a few fixes between 5.1.2.0 and 5.1.8.3.

We’ve 1 or 2 OSPF and/or IGMP issues. Do you know what issues you’ve seen with not upgrading the FPGA? We are planning on going back up upgrading the card FW. (I realize this is old, but found it relavent).

Hi Tim,

While it’s not required I would strongly suggest you upgrade the FPGA with the latest firmware. I’ve seen all sorts of issues with the earlier FPGA firmware on the 8630GBR and 8648GTR and 8648GTRS.
