The default baud rate of the console port is 19200. Do you have the correct baud rate configured?

If you suspect the hardware is bad you can RMA the switch to Motorola for depot repair.

Good Luck!

Hi Betty)

I used Google Translate on your comment and came out with the following; “RFS6000 I have a firmware update attempt that gave an error and restart, now I can not access it from Hyperterminal, any help?”

You get nothing from the serial console? Nothing at all? The RFS6000 has an auto-rollback feature and should rollback to the previously loaded software if there’s a problem booting the current software. If you can post the output from the serial console perhaps I can help further.

Good Luck!

Hi Cipri,

Your asking for a lot of information there friend. You only need to connect the AP300 to the same Layer 2 network as the WS5100 from a logical networking perspective. After that you’ll need to properly configure the WS5100 for the WLAN settings you want, the security settings, the radio configurations, etc. I would suggest that you visit the Motorola website and download the specific product manuals. Please keep in mind that there are significant differences between the 2.x and 3.x software branches.

Good Luck!
