I have a tendency to check it every day. However, I was unaware of your comments feed. I will be adding this to my bookmarks today.

I enjoy reading your technical postings and find the complex ones to be very useful. It helps me better understand the products I work work with (8600s, 5520s, 470s, VPN, etc.) on a daily basis.

Please keep up the excellent blog. You have inspired me to start to document my findings with our products. Now I just need to find the time to post them in a blog for the community.

Thanks,

Gabe

You are right when you think most people didn’t know the Comments feed, it´s best explanation.

I’m agree about a wide range of readers too, but my comment wasn’t a criticism about your posts, on the contrary, I like them because sometimes I’m forced to understand/learn protocols, configurations…

One note: my English language is enough for technical books (not always) but it’s so limited for conversation, so I’m sorry if someone doesn’t undertand a sentence.

A second note: Actually we´re working with ERS 8310 in small/medium systems (like core), perhaps some posts about them…

Thanks for your response.

I appreciate your response. It can be difficult trying to be as detailed as possible given the limited time available and the wide ranging technical knowledge of the day to day readers. There are folks in this audience that know what a VLAN is and what it means to tag a VLAN across a trunk, and there are folks that don’t really yet understand the concept of a VLAN or trunk. This can be very challenging for any author. I don’t want to bore the vast majority of folks but I want to make sure that I’ve clearly described the topic at hand some so everyone can at least follow the article/post.

Perhaps I’ll write some basic article on VLANs and tagging across trunks.

I would just care to think that no one knew there was a “Comments” feed out there but I certainly understand your point.

Thanks again for the comment!

I’m sure your blog is read by a lot of people (like me) in order to learn/find solutions for their environments, but some comments have a hard technical level or they are responses to concrete answers we aren’t unable to test it in lab (a lot of time, not enough equipment…).
I think that would be a reason for a low number of subscriptions to the comments feed.

And sorry, my name’s Victor (from Spain) and thanks for your very helpful posts.
