Hi Loy,

It looks like your right... 5.1.4.0 software is no longer available on the Avaya website. I had a two ERS 8600s crash on my over the past week and in my discussions with GNPS they mentioned 5.1.5.0 would be GA very shortly but they mentioned nothing about the issues with 5.1.4.0.

Thanks for the comment!

Michael,
On a related note, I heard a couple of days ago that the 5.1.4 got pulled in favor of 5.1.4.1, which is not out yet - should be available Monday. Apparently there are some pretty significant issues that have been found in 5.1.4.

Hi Qaz,

I can only share what I know... but as you hint to I'm sure there was some major issue(s) that caused them to pull the previous 5.x releases. I never heard of any issues personally, probably because so many people are still reeling from the 4.1.6.x release and haven't yet jumped to the 5.x software. I only have 2 switches out of 36 that are running 5.x software, and then those 34 remaining switches only 8 of them are running 4.1.8.x while all the others are running 4.1.3.x.

Well... it's kinda funny if you know some more background why all those other 5 versions where pulled. There was a major bug introduced in 5, which has been solved top priority in 5.1.1.1 So Nortel choose the safeside to remove all other version from the webside as a service to the customer (no confusion). LOL sweeping their own street pretty clean I would say.
