Please disregard above I somehow stupidly overlooked your warning “WARNING: the TFTP server needs to be physically connected to the switch in question”.

I’ve directly connected my PC running tftp server to the switch and it works without a hitch.

Press ‘a’ to run Agent code
Press ‘d’ to download Agent code
Press ‘e’ to display errors
Press ‘c’ to clear log message
Press ‘i’ to initialize config flash
Press ‘p’ to run POST tests…

I’m experiencing a similar issue as mohammed (above) where the tftp connection times out when I try to download an agent image.

I’m connected to the 4548GT-PWR via a Cisco Switch the switch port light goes from off to orange (but not to green) during the attempt to download the agent code.

I get the following output.

I’ve tried numerous tftp servers, including Winagents, 3CDaemon and can confirm my current tftp (Solarwinds) works as I can backup the config of a Cisco Switch in the same network. I’ve tried entering in values as well as leaving defaults to auto. I’ve tried configuring the Cisco switchport to full duplex and speed 100.

One thing I haven’t tried is changing the tftp port to something else….

Any help would be appreciated.

its work ok as you say yhe port come up as i configure the tftp prompts on console

The port will come active when you finish answering the prompts at the console.

You’ll need to download the software from Avaya’s website (I believe you’ll need a support contract) and you’ll need to upload it to the switch. The process and procedure should be similar to the one outlined in the post below.

I have the same problem using TFPTD32, so I’ve changed and use 3CDeamon TFPT.

Try it because its better then TFPTD32 and it worked for me
