		<description>Hi Michael,

Thank you for blogging about these issues. Hoping you might be able to help.

I&#039;m experiencing a similar issue as mohammed (above) where the tftp connection times out when I try to download an agent image.

I&#039;m connected to the 4548GT-PWR via a Cisco Switch the switch port light goes from off to orange (but not to green) during the attempt to download the agent code.

I get the following output.

Press &#039;a&#039; to run Agent code
Press &#039;d&#039; to download Agent code
  Press &#039;e&#039; to display errors
Press &#039;c&#039; to clear log message
Press &#039;i&#039; to initialize config flash
Press &#039;p&#039; to run POST tests...
Enter Port Number [ ]:
Enter Speed: 10, 100, 1000 [ ]:
Enter Local IP Address [ 10.17.2.189]:
Enter Server IP Address [ 10.17.2.31]:
Enter Subnet Mask [ 255.255.255.0]:
Enter Default Gateway [ None]:
Enter Filename :4500_501000.img
  Sys IP address : 10.17.2.189
  Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
  Default Gateway: None

  TFTP Server IP : 10.17.2.31
TFTP Port Num : Auto Select
  Runtime File : 4500_501000.img
Download AGENT image .................... 0 bytes (Receiving...)

Failure Reason: TFTP connection timeout !!
Press &#039;a&#039; to run Agent code
Press &#039;d&#039; to download Agent code
  Press &#039;e&#039; to display errors
Press &#039;c&#039; to clear log message
Press &#039;i&#039; to initialize config flash
Press &#039;p&#039; to run POST tests...

I&#039;ve tried numerous tftp servers, including Winagents, 3CDaemon and can confirm my current tftp (Solarwinds) works as I can backup the config of a Cisco Switch in the same network. I&#039;ve tried entering in values as well as leaving defaults to auto. I&#039;ve tried configuring the Cisco switchport to full duplex and speed 100.

One thing I haven&#039;t tried is changing the tftp port to something else....

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers</description>

		<description>Hi Mohammed,

You&#039;ll need to download the software from Avaya&#039;s website (I believe you&#039;ll need a support contract) and you&#039;ll need to upload it to the switch. The process and procedure should be similar to the one outlined in the post below.
